The Big Walkies

Our second big event this year is The Big Walkies. Brace yourselves because dog walking is about to get big. It’s a mass partition event that is being launched during RSPCA Week which runs from May 31st to June 7th. We’re calling all dog lovers and their dogs, from playful puppies to the golden oldies. We have something planned that is going to make your year.

The Big Walkies is coming for you! All dogs and their owners will unite and raise money to help us protect more dogs and other animals from cruelty and neglect. It only costs £15 to enter one dog, and £5 for any additional pooches. Your dog can bring as many people as they like - humans can come along free! Big Walkies won’t just be the best walk ever - there’ll also be loads of stalls to browse, goodies to collect and surprises to be found. Our event will be held on September 27th at the Memorial Park Coventry. The route will be around 3K.

Registering your dog couldn’t be easier - if you would like to register for the Coventry, Nuneaton and district branch event, you need to fill out a quick and simple form giving us a few details. Go to www.rspca.org.uk   click The Big Walkies and future events, click Coventry. This will take you through to the small form you need to fill in. You will then receive a Big Walkies Sponsorship Pack withall the information about the walk. Your dog will receive a special bandana to show off on the day and we’ll send you a matching t-shirt. Everyone can wear their Big Walkies items with pride knowing they’re helping other less fortunate animals everywhere! You can then help your local RSPCA branch by getting as much sponsorship as possible. The RSPCA cruelty line receives a call every 27 seconds. As we get no government funding for our vital work, we need all dogs to come together and help us continue rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming as many animals as we can.
