Do the right thing for your pets

‘Animal Action Days are back for 2013’

The RSPCA Coventry, Nuneaton and District Branch along with Cats Protection, Cat Action Trust and Coventry Cat Group are back out in force in 2013. The three charities will also be joined by low cost vets Easipetcare at their regular animal action days offering owners the chance to get preventative treatments for their pets at a fraction of the cost or for FREE!

The first animal action day of the year is being held at the Rose Centre, Spon End, Coventry, CV1 3LH from 12midday to 6pm. The charities and vets will be offering Free Micro chipping (donation asked for), Free Cat Neutering and Low cost dog and rabbit neutering vouchers (conditions apply) along with super low cost vaccinations from Easipetcare at just £15

The trio of charities have been running successful community based animal welfare events for several years helping many owners ‘do the right thing’ by their pets enabling them to access to free microchips, free or low cost neutering and super low cost vaccinations.

Glenn Mayoll Animal Centre Manager for the RSPCA says ‘All of the charities taking part are independent charities focused on helping animals locally. Year on year we have seen the numbers of animals needing our help increase and we desperately need to stem the flow of unwanted animals being born and lost’.

‘The stark reality is that we are collectively getting to a point of not being able to cope with the sheer numbers of animals needing our help. We are desperately urging pet owners to take advantage of these fantastic offers and get their pets chipped, neutered and vaccinated’

The event at the Rose Centre follows on from another event there last autumn which saw over 100 pet owners come along and take advantage of these great offers.

Angie Willems from Coventry Cat Group says ‘Last year’s event at the Rose centre was a roaring success and we struggled with parking, however the rugby club have come to our aid and offered use of their car park for free opposite Windsor street’.

The Rose Centre animal action day is the first of three this spring for the charities and they will also be holding events at the:

Chess Centre, Camphill, Nuneaton on Tuesday 7th May 2013

Haggard Centre, Willenhall, Coventry on Monday 28th May 2013
