New Nuneaton Shop

Friday 31st May was a very big day for us, when we opened our first ever charity shop in Nuneaton's town centre. We had been looking for a long time for the right shop to become available and we were delighted when we found this one in Lower Abbey Street.

Thankfully the opening could not have gone better. We had lots of people trying the door all morning, and as soon as Kirk Stephens a former Nuneaton Borough, Luton Town and Coventry City player had kindly cut the ribbon for us they poured in. The day before we were quite concerned that the shop would not be ready in time, as we had lots of small problems to deal with. When I left that lunchtime it was nowhere near ready. But thanks our wonderful staff when I walked in today it looked fantastic. Everyone who came to shop seemed very happy with what they saw.

With this being our first shop in Nuneaton we have no idea how well it will go. But if it continues like it did Friday afternoon we will be very pleased. We must say a big thank you to all the people who came along, and we hope all of our supporters will continue to help us in this our new venture. We are going to need lots volunteers to help us out and also donations for us to sell. But I’m sure when the people of Nuneaton have been in they will want to come back again, and hopefully help us out. All the money raised in the shop will go to the Animal Centre. It will help to make the lives of all the animals in our care, as happy and comfortable as possible during their stay with us, until they can be found new homes. We are looking  forward to a long and happy future in the town.
