Volunteer Roles

Please note that training will be given to all volunteers

Branch committee member
As a trustee of the charity you will be responsible (with your fellow committee members) for managing the affairs of the branch to promote and provide animal welfare within the Coventry Nuneaton and District area.

Home visitor
This is an interesting position and only suitable if you have regular time to spare, access to a telephone and the use of a vehicle. You will be responsible for visiting the homes of potential adopters to ensure their suitability for an RSPCA animal and to revisit homes to ensure that the adoption has been a success.

General animal centre duties
This covers a wide range of tasks from light gardening to heavy cleaning! You will be asked to provide care for cats, dogs and small animals and carry out a variety of general tasks at the Animal Centre under direction of the Animal Centre Manager.

Charity shop volunteer
We ask that our charity shop volunteers are able to offer regular assistance with general duties in our charity shops. There are many ‘behind the scenes’ roles such as sorting, steaming, cleaning and polishing that are vital to the successful running of both shops as well as display, sales and till work.

Events organiser
We need to arrange lots of different and exciting events on a regular basis to to raise funds for further development at the Animal Centre and general animal welfare activities and are looking for people with creative and organisational skills to help us. Do you have a hobby that could help us raise money or special skills to share?

Events team member
Many hands make light work so we need lots of enthusiastic people to help out at events. Jobs include, moving and setting up equipment, selling RSPCA items, arranging displays, collecting and delivering items, general stewarding and administrative duties etc.

Admin / telephone duties
These include preparing our regular newsletter, keeping records, administering our volunteer programme, general correspondence etc. We would like people with admin skills and a few hours a week to spare to help us with this important volunteer role.

If you do not live within the Coventry area please visit the national RSPCA website to see what vacancies are available in your area.
